Daybed Cushions, Revived

My client brought me a daybed sofa with a solid frame and beautiful velvet upholstery, but badly stained and worn cushions. Rather than throw the piece in the landfill, we chose a complimentary fabric in the joyful Alchimia Corso from Elitis.

To save on fabric cost, I used a remnant piece for the bottom of the seat cushion. (Due to its unusual shape, it’s not flippable anyway. Shh, our little secret.) I reused the perfectly good cushion and pillow inserts, and returned the beautiful daybed to its vibrant home a better match than when it left.
